Hello friends, what’s happening? Do you
guys love listening to others experience? I do love and probably most of them
love I guess. So just before jumping to the article, let me share my personal experience
with you.
It was a summer vacation eve; all my relatives landed my sweet home and were all hurry burry. Meanwhile, when I was out of my house, my brother took over my Laptop, and unknowingly deleted the entire files. I had 40 GB of all my photos and videos. I was almost crazy because I could not loss my data. I also had no backup. To fix it, I searched for solutions and finally came up with 5 of the best data recovery software.
Do you want to know? Before let us learn
the basics.
WHAT TO DO NEXT WHEN YOU FOUND YOUR DATA MISSING?
- If possible do a backup before initiating the data recovery process.
- Prevent overwriting of files- In general overwriting is a term that describes replacing older data with new one. So if you found your data missing and you copy or create new files in the same drive, then the missing files will be over written making it difficult for a recovery program to recover.
- Avoid installing recovery software on the drive from which that data is lost.
- After recovery process, make sure you save the recovered files in another drive other than the infected drive.
1) RECUVA

Recuva by Piriform is the simplest way I
found to get my missing files back. It is available for free and is very easy
to use. So after downloading and running the program for the first time, you
will be asked a series of question to help narrow down your search. For
instance, what type of file you are looking for? Where the location is? And so
on. Also, if you wish the program to do a deep scan for the lost files, you can
even enable the deep scan option from the next menu. Perfect! It’s, done.
Recuva will scan your drive for the lost files matching your description
and list’s them out. You can go through the list and select the required files
and then the program completes the recovery process and makes your life
slightly more bearable for that day.
2) GLARY UNDELETE

Designed by glarysoft.com, Glary Undelete is a
quick and powerful way to recover accidently deleted files. The deleted files
can be easily recovered by providing sufficient data. The main feature of Glary
Undelete includes a filter option that helps to filter the lost files by
filename, size, state and date so that you need not dig too much. These filter
options are notable because if you know some keyword of the missing file, then
recovery tasks become much easier and fast. Also a preview option is included
so that the lost files can be recognized in no time. It supports FAT, NTFS,
NTFS+EFS file systems. To tell you, this software is totally free.
3) WISE DATA RECOVERY

Wise data recovery is an impressive recovery
program if you are searching for lost E-mails, compressed files or documents
other than photos or videos. This program is even capable of recovering
permanently deleted files from your memory card or flash drives.
I heard most of my friends complaining
that Wise data recovery is a crap and it cannot recover a single file. But I
used the Wise data recovery to scan my E drive and after targeting a specific
folder, Wise data successfully recovered 2 GB of my mp3 from E drive and lots
of images from D drive. So if you are
using this software, I suggest you to target a specific folder rather than
searching the whole drive. Also, this software prevents overwriting by
allotting another drive to store the recovered files.
4) UNDELETE 360

Coming next is yet another recommended program
Undelete 360. It is the ideal software to recover both files and folders. It
can also recover files deleted by malicious virus or via certain applications.
Undelete 360 has a clean User Interface so that even a newbie too can easily recover
files. All you have to do is just select the drive you need to recover and the program
neatly arranges all the recovered files into specific categories making it ease.
Features like filter option, file preview
and file properties comes with upgraded versions only. Undelete 360 also has
the potential to wipe the recovered data, making it irrecoverable later. This
software cannot recover formatted drives or lost partition.
5) PANDORA RECOVERY

Here comes the last solid pick for data
recovery and it is none other than Pandora Recovery. This program can recover
files that are achieved, compressed or are encrypted. PR finds most of the
missing files and if PR finds it, it totally recovers it. The deep scan can
often take hours for its completion. Pandora recovery also has advanced filter
options and can also recover from most of the drive.
NOTE
I should
stress that these programs are not 100% effective. But somehow, one among these
programs definitely could save your day.
HOW TO AVOID DATA RECOVERY THE NEXT TIME ON-WARDS?
BACKUP
So what is back up? Well, Backup is an
essential tool that helps you take a copy of your existing files and data so
that it can be used later if any data loss occur. In short, back up is your
last line of defense against data loss.
You can easily backup your files to any
storage drive, including external hard disk, USB flash drive, CD’s or DVD’s.
You can even back up your files online. If you regularly back up your files,
you could feel a sense of security.
CONCLUSION
As there are
many free data recoveries available today, finding the best one is a Herculean
task. But I hope, after reading this article, you have finally come to a
conclusion. If you have any queries, please ask it through comments. I am here
to help you. Have a nice day ahead J
