Imagine running to and fro in a very hot day busy with bridge, making calls, replying to SMS, shooting E-mails, finding info on the web and suddenly you run out of fuel. How do you make your battery last longer so you can use your device longer?A lot of people asks me the same. Well, so that’s what I want to talk about and am back here with another article for you that helps you learn several useful tips and tricks to squeeze more fuel added to your Android devices battery.
1) RESTRICT BACKGROUND DATA

If your phone allows you to, you can use the restrict background data option which prevent all apps or individual apps from downloading or uploading data in the background. This one conserves some of your battery power.
2) TURN OFF BACKGROUND APPS
Turning off features that aren't in use particularly helps you save more battery juice.
So what are these features?
For starters it include Bluetooth, WI-Fi, Portable Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, Mobile data and NFC. Leaving them on would crush you battery life, so kill them when not in use.

If you use these features frequently it can be a big pain in the behind to keep turning these features on or off during the day. To keep your sanity you can use the power control widget to quickly toggle those features.
3) DISABLE LOCATION SERVICES

Disabling the options in settings, location services can also help conserve power a bit. This way too, no app would be able to pinpoint your precise location with the help of either WI-FI networks, Mobile networks or GPS Without your approval.
4) HAPTIC FEEDBACK
Haptic feedback can also eat the battery powered. Those who love vibrations that you feel when you interact with the UI or when you get alerts are carried over by a small vibration motor which eats up battery.
Guys, Just imagine what happens to the battery if you turn that motor off?
If you want a more automated approach to control these power or battery saver features you can seek the help of apps such as Greenify or juice defender.
5) APP DATA SYNCING

Another area where you can save more battery power is app data syncing, app update frequency and app notifications or alerts. Many apps need to sync data with external servers, so naturally the process uses more battery power. Absolutely social network apps, News apps, Weather widget etc need to fetch updates from the internet. If you want to save battery power, you can disable auto syncing for such apps or set them to get updates less frequently or at the very least select which apps to allow auto sync.
6) AD-FREE APPS
Along the same vein, ads supported also contribute to faster battery drain. Such apps fetch ads of the net and upload data for targeted ads and this process consume battery power. Go for Ads free apps, most of the paid apps are ads free though you can find many free ads free apps too in the market.
7) SCREEN BRIGHTNESS

This is probably not a tip anymore. Therefore dim the light and lessen power consumption. Go manual instead of using the auto brightness feature. Auto brightness uses power because it activates light sensors to detect light levels from the surrounding. So it’s not a very viable solution at all if you want to conserve power and as i have told you earlier turn off unused features including the screen. Set your screen to sleep or time out quickly after becoming idle. If your device allows it, set the screen timeout to 15 seconds.
8) LIVE WALLPAPER

To tell you the truth, simply because of animated wallpapers like live wallpapers look cool and awesome, but they also use device resources, especially the battery powered. You might argue that they use minimal power but minimal is still something to someone who wants to squeeze every last drop of fuel for the battery. Therefore prefer static wallpapers over live wallpapers. Or if you really can live it out without any home screen animations, at least choose the stock live wallpapers, all those are well coded. Or if your device uses organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) or if it is amoled or super amoled siblings, you can conserve more battery by using a black wallpaper and dark theme.
9) UNWANTED APPS
There are apps running behind CPU and sucking all its fuel. There is no need of such apps and better uninstall it. Also keep all your apps up to date including all the bug fixes.
WRAP UP
If the tips and tricks written above still don’t satisfy your need for longer battery life, you can try to buy a spare battery if your device supports removable battery.
Lastly learn how to take care of your battery. Stretching your Android devices battery life requires discipline and responsibility from YOU as a user. It requires energy saving habits.
